Paweł Barański is a lawyer and chartered tax adviser. At KPMG Poland in role of Head of Tax and member of Management Committee. He has 23 years of experience in tax advisory for companies involved in different line of business such as automotive, energy and companies operating in Special Economic Zones. For 14 years, Paweł was leading the tax advisory department in Katowice, with high concentration on supporting clients with their seats in Silesia and neighboring provinces. Since 2019, He manages tax advisory department in whole country. Responsible for current tax advisory, involving preparation of tax opinions and tax reviews in line with personal income tax (PIT), corporate income tax (CIT), goods and services tax (VAT), property tax and public aid. He represents Clients in this scope before tax authorities and the Provincial and Supreme Administrative Courts. Paweł has a wide experience in the field of companies’ restructuring processes and transfer pricing issues. He conducted various tax and legal trainings, as well as provided speeches in many local and international conferences and congresses. He published numerous articles covering public aid topics.
