      KPMG in Malta commitments

      Our people

      • In 2025, females made up 60% of our people and 54% of our management.​

      • In 2025, our workforce comprised 39 nationalities, with expats constituting 33% of our people.​

      • In 2025, the total training hours of staff amount to 56,800 hours, including on-the-job training and study leave.​

      • We offer our people free counselling with Richmond Foundation, staff opportunities for hybrid and flexible working, and extended maternity / parent leave to our senior people at Assistant Manager level and upwards.​

      • Implementing an IDE Strategy, under the guidance of Claudine Borg Azzopardi, including; focus groups, leadership development, partner conference, mentor program and IDE policies.

      Our planet

      • In 2025, we further guided our clients in the private and public sectors on ESG reporting, transformation and assurance, carbon accounting, and decarbonisation and climate. ​

      • KPMG has set a global commitment for the KPMG network to achieve 50% reduction in emissions by 2030. We are aiming to support them in this with the development of our KPMG Islands Group Decarbonisation Plan.



      Our prosperity

      • €133,000 in donations in 2025 (including donations, sponsorships and hours dedicated to professional bodies).​

      • Headcount amounted to 476 people in 2025 (excl. contractors and students).​

      • 120 students and 14 graduates participated in our graduate recruitment programme in 2025; we also hosted 45 ACCA students at our firm.​

      • Our ESG team delivered external training and participated in conferences on ESG reporting, ESG in gaming, ESG in aviation, ESG in maritime, ESG in real estate, and Climate.​

      • For the second-year running, our Gaming and ESG teams have partnered with sustainability leaders from 20 global gaming groups through the ESG in Gaming Roundtable.


      Our governance

      • Enabled the internal adoption of AI tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and aIQ Chat, by training staff on integrity, ethics, and compliance for responsible AI-enabled technological application.​

      • Anonymous whistleblower hotline for reporting concerns about compliance with professional, regulatory, or legal obligations.​​

      • Our Annual Transparency Report discloses information on audit quality, corruption policies, and independence practices.​​

      • In 2025, we continued our membership of Malta ESG Alliance (MESGA) and participated in several working groups.​​​

      • In 2025, the OIP Forum met regularly to review progress and guide the delivery of ESG goals.​
