Ryan is an Associate Director at KPMG in Malta, leading the firm’s Financial Institutions sector. His role centres around helping clients access the services and support required to achieve their growth ambitions, connecting the dots across KPMG, and bringing together the right blend of expertise to deliver seamless, well-rounded support. He is also responsible for driving and coordinating KPMG in Malta’s strategy, coverage, and go-to-market activities in the fintech space.
He began his career in the External Audit department, where he spent nine years gaining a broad understanding of how fintech and financial institutions operate end-to-end, from financial reporting and governance frameworks to business operations and internal controls.
Through his representation in the KPMG Global Payments Community, Ryan ensures local clients benefit from global insights and best practices. The KPMG Global Payments Community connects the knowledge and expertise of over 50 fintech hubs worldwide. This network brings together specialists across Tax, Legal, Risk & Regulatory, Operations, Strategy and M&A - all focused on helping clients interpret market shifts, identify growth opportunities, and design strategies that create lasting value. Whether it’s payments (fiat and digital), digital assets, regtech, cybersecurity, or emerging areas such as embedded finance, AI and ESGtech, his involvement ensures local clients can access global insights and multidisciplinary support tailored to their business needs.
Ryan is also active in the Financial Institutions Malta Association (FIMA), contributing to the development of Malta’s financial services and fintech ecosystem.
