Learning on point 2018

Skill and talent development are mission critical priorities for Indian organisations. The government has invested heavily in initiatives like the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and the private sector too has channelised time and money to boost employee productivity. Yet the KPMG NHRDN, ‘Learning on point research’ reveals that talent development is underserved in most organisations. The study, which covered 138 leading organisations across sectors, states that the average Learning Maturity Index (LMI) for the organisations surveyed stands at 71.This implies that organisations are only now waking up to the idea of building learning ecosystems, adopting learning technology infrastructure and building accountability for learning.

Jointly led by KPMG in India and NHRDN, this pioneering work delves deep into the Indian corporate learning space, seeking answers to difficult questions. What is ailing the industry? Which factors are working well? This is a first-of-its-kind, India based research, which quantitatively assesses the state of learning and development.

The report was covered extensively in several leading media publications.

An exclusive interactive digital report is accessible to organisations that participated in the research. Participating organisations also receive a customised summary report of their learning maturity. We will be happy to assess your organisation’s learning maturity.
