KPMG Kuwait has announced the promotion of Essam Ahmed to Partner – Head of Accounting Advisory Services, effective 1 September 2026. This is a significant strategic move on the firm’s part to boost its advisory arm, which also spans management consulting, risk consulting, and deal advisory.
Essam brings 34 years of experience across Kuwait and Egypt, 21 years of which have been at KPMG Kuwait. In 2005, he helped set up the firm’s Accounting Advisory Service practice and has since helped position it as a trusted advisor to businesses across Kuwait, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and family-owned businesses, supporting them through increasingly complex accounting, reporting and financial management requirements.
Over the years, Essam has led multiple engagements for clients across the industrial, contracting, retail, food and beverage, real estate, education, healthcare and e-commerce sectors. His extensive experience spans cost, financial and management accounting, internal controls, financial forecasting and reporting, designing accounting systems and creating cost-control frameworks.
One of Essam’s key focus areas is supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and family-owned businesses. His experience in establishing full accounting systems for new ventures, setting up cost-control frameworks and strengthening their accounting processes has helped numerous businesses build strong financial foundations and thus make informed strategic decisions.
