      What we do

      • National and European research & development

Our applied research projects are targeted at improving the quality of people’s lives, in areas such as resilience, urban security, sustainable planning and development, climate change solutions, and citizen engagement at national and European level.

KPMG Planning is an established leader in the European-funded research sphere, having attracted over €6.8 million in funding via 21 research projects.

We leverage our diverse skillsets including proposal and report writing, data monitoring and evaluation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, website and dashboard development, dissemination, communication, and commercial exploitation of key research outputs.

      • Evidence-led Insight

We apply rigorous qualitative and quantitative methodologies to generate insights that drive strategic decision-making and policy development.

From data collection and statistical modelling to stakeholder engagement and real-world testing, our insights are grounded in evidence and tailored to client needs.

We help public and private sector clients understand challenges, assess scenarios, and chart a course for effective action.

      • Collaborative Engagement

We believe collaboration is central to delivering actionable research and strategies. Our approach prioritises stakeholder involvement and co-creation, ensuring outcomes are not only evidence-based but also grounded in local realities.

Through participatory methods, workshops, and digital engagement tools, we help build consensus, enhance legitimacy, and foster shared ownership of policy, planning, and research outcomes.
