Nasos is an experienced auditor who joined the firm recently from another audit firm. He managed to get through easily and to develop strong accountability attributes for his peers and for the collective result of the team. He is not afraid to take on challenges and he challenges the status quo of how things are done, in a positive manner. He gradually becomes a role model and inspiration for his team through camaraderie, hard work, solidarity and positive view on things.
“Since my university years, I knew I wanted to build a career in Audit. I was inspired by the idea of transparency and reliability in the business world, and I wanted to understand how financial data reflects the true picture of a company. That’s why I chose to pursue a minor in International Financial Reporting Standards and Auditing at the American College of Greece (Deree), alongside my main studies in Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business.
Ever since, the need to look ‘behind the numbers’ has shaped the way I work; I try to challenge the status quo creatively, to question processes rather than just follow them, and to look for ways to make them better. For me, Audit isn’t just about checking - it’s about understanding, evolving, and adding value.
I’ve been working in this field since 2021, and in 2024 I joined KPMG - a move I made consciously, seeking an environment that encourages growth, innovation, and meaningful collaboration.
During this time, I’ve had the chance to work on major projects, collaborate with people of diverse expertise, and grow through everyday learning. Recently, I was promoted to Assistant Manager, a recognition that reflects the trust and appreciation the firm shows to its people.
What I love about this profession is that no two days are ever the same. Each project, client, and team brings new challenges and opportunities to learn, not only on a technical level, but also in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Audit isn’t routine, as many think; it’s a dynamic field that constantly pushes you to develop.
At KPMG, what stands out to me most is the genuine collaboration and openness in every discussion. Fair treatment, opportunities for growth, and respect for people aren’t just values on paper, they’re part of our everyday reality.
Despite the demands and deadlines, the company’s culture remains deeply human and society-oriented. I truly feel I’m part of an organization that values our work and invests in its people.”
