Her professional and personal development in KPMG throughout the years can be an example for the new colleagues.

“When I first joined KPMG, I honestly didn’t think I’d stay for this long. It’s been almost eight years now, and yet each year has brought something new, something that kept me here. I started out early in my career thinking that working at a Big Four firm was like a 'school', a place to learn as much as possible before moving on. But for me, that school turned out to be something much more lasting.

Very soon, I realized I was surrounded by people who believed in me, and I was able to believe in them as well. Some have since taken different paths, others are still my colleagues, some I’ve lost touch with, and a few have become close friends. Yet all of them have left their own mark.

I can’t say I ever experienced what people call ‘cutthroat competition.’ On the contrary, I found people I connected with, and I think they connected with me too. Together we grew, we learned, we changed. I earned their trust, and they earned my commitment. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m still learning. I’ve become a better professional because of them.

Of course, there have been challenging moments, but there was always room for open conversation. I can honestly say I’ve never felt that my efforts went unnoticed, quite the opposite, actually. I’ve always felt supported and appreciated.

I’ve always believed that everyone has their own standards, their own way of fitting in, and that not every place or team is right for everyone. Each person who chooses to stay in a company for years has their own reasons and so do I. It may sound cliché, but I truly believe that a workplace is, above all, its people. And if you happen to connect with those people, that’s when you know it’s worth staying.

After all these years, I can say with certainty that KPMG has not just been a step in my career. If someone asked me why, I’d simply say that it’s because this journey has been and still is so much worth it. Somehow, in my own way, something just 'clicked' here, I found where I belong.”
