"I joined the KPMG team in March 2017, specifically in the Thessaloniki office, within the Audit department. If I had to describe in a few words the journey I have gone through over these years, they would be continuous learning and development.
I started as an Assistant in the Global Mobility Services department and later transitioned to the Audit team, where I remain today as an Assistant Manager.
The moments I remember most clearly are those early situations where I had to respond to demanding conditions and increased responsibilities. I also particularly value the interaction and collaboration with many different Managers, as it gave me the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of perspectives, learn from each of them, and develop my critical thinking.
Given the ever-increasing regulatory requirements and strict deadlines, and always with a focus on the quality of work, proper planning and staying up to date with all developments related to our field are of primary importance.
The concept of ‘taking responsibility’ is multi-dimensional. It is not only about completing my work on time, but also about taking initiative and encouraging younger team members to feel truly accountable for the outcome, while keeping in mind the concerns and expectations I had when I was in their position.
For me, a good working environment is one where there is trust, collaboration, and good communication. When these are present, everything becomes easier.
What I enjoy most today is being able to see the bigger picture: not only ensuring that the work is done correctly, but also understanding how we can operate as a team in a better and more efficient way."
