“I have always believed that the world of Finance is not only about numbers, but about decisions, responsibility, and a meaningful understanding of how a business operates. My professional journey began and evolved within Finance Departments, progressing up to Finance Director roles in both Greek and multinational companies. Through this experience, I had the opportunity to understand the finance function not in theory, but through the real challenges, priorities, and complexities of everyday business life, learning how to balance analysis with speed, and strategy with operational demands.
For the past five years, within KPMG Consulting, I have been focusing on Finance and Technology Transformation projects. What truly resonates with me in this role is that it brings together two worlds that are often treated separately, even though they are deeply interconnected. Finance provides the direction, technology provides the tools, and transformation is what connects the two to create meaningful impact. In practice, this means that I am not simply interested in designing a better process or implementing a system. What matters to me is whether the change helps the organization operate in a more agile and effective way. The finance function requires structure, transparency, and reliable information; technology acts as the accelerator that delivers these elements more efficiently, more flexibly, and in a way that better supports decision-making.
What I try to bring into my work is a combination of realism and forward thinking. Realism, because solutions must work within the day-to-day reality of the people who will use them. Forward thinking, because our role is not only to solve today’s problems, but also to help clients become better prepared for what lies ahead. I believe that a good consultant provides answers. But a consultant who wants to create real impact builds trust, aligns people from different perspectives, and helps change truly take root within an organization.
I also strongly believe in the way teams are built. People perform at their best when they feel challenged and supported, when there are high expectations but also room for discussion and growth. What I find most rewarding is seeing that our work does not simply produce a ‘deliverable’, but creates progress, stronger collaboration, and more meaningful decision-making. In complex environments, one thing I have learned is that change only moves forward when people understand it, trust it, and feel part of it.”
