"My journey at KPMG, specifically within the Audit department, began about five years ago. The enthusiasm with which my professor described the profession of an auditor, emphasizing the integrity and independence that define it, is what initially led me to pursue this path myself.
As with any new beginning, things can feel difficult or even impossible at first, with uncertainty and the unknown often prevailing. However, the people at KPMG, from the very beginning, with their trust and guidance, helped me adapt, integrate into the team, and grow. This same energy and willingness to support others is something I try to pass on to every new member joining our team, as well as to everyone I work with. After all, the successful completion of any project is the result of collaboration, built on organization, responsibility, resilience, and open communication between teams.
What makes Audit work so interesting is that every client and every engagement is different. It gives you the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge across a wide range of industries, while continuously developing both professionally and personally. From each collaboration and each person, you manage to take something new. To deliver a project within the required timeframe, attention to detail, organization, proper planning, and timely communication with both the team and the client are essential. You need to remain calm and focused on your objective to deliver your best work. These are some of the values that define the teams I have worked with, and which I also strive to internalize and apply in practice - not only to complete a project, but because this way of working makes collaboration smoother and more enjoyable.
Reflecting on my journey in Audit, I realize that collective effort, along with personal perseverance and patience, is an integral part of KPMG’s culture. The ‘Together, for better’ principle, a core value of the firm, holds real meaning in our day-to-day work."
