“When I started my journey in KPMG’s Audit Department, what I was looking for was an environment that would constantly challenge me, push me outside my comfort zone, and give me the opportunity to collaborate with different people. And that is exactly what I found.
My first introduction to Audit came during my university years, mainly on a theoretical level, through courses and discussions about the profession. From the very beginning, I realized that it was a field I was genuinely interested in exploring more deeply, as it offers the opportunity to observe the processes followed by a business from a completely different perspective, and gain a meaningful understanding of how organizations operate.
The first period was intense, filled with new experiences and a steep learning curve. From the very first weeks, I understood that the job is not only about numbers and processes. It is mainly about collaboration, communication, and adaptability. Every engagement was different, and that is something that continues to motivate me every day.
During this time, I believe I have learned a lot, not only technically but also personally. I learned how to manage pressure more effectively and trust myself more. At the same time, I realized how important it is to maintain a positive mindset and a willingness to keep learning, especially in such a dynamic environment.
In practice, Audit is far more people-oriented than I had initially imagined. Yes, there are numbers, processes, and demanding deadlines, but ultimately the work is built around communication and collaboration. No two days are the same. Some days require focus and attention to detail, others quick adaptability, and sometimes simply a positive attitude to help make a difficult day easier for everyone. I also try to support my colleagues as much as I can, because I believe strong teams are built through mutual support, especially during the most demanding periods.
If I had to describe the team I belong to at KPMG in three words, I would say: collaborative, dynamic, and continuously evolving. It is a team that helps you move forward, build confidence, and feel that you are growing every single day.”
