Aris has a particularly interesting story, as he is part of the “brain regain” movement and brings a diverse background across multiple dimensions. He has built experience both in the UK and in Greece, and has worked across different industries, including Transport and Logistics, as well as in consulting. Beyond his broad experience, Aris is a committed professional and a strong team player. Despite being a relatively recent joiner, he has integrated very well and aligns naturally with the KPMG culture.
“Every new professional step is, without a doubt, a new challenge for any professional. More often than not, it is also a leap into the unknown, based solely on impressions formed during interviews, fragmented information gathered online, and - if you are fortunate enough - the experience of someone you know who is familiar with the organisation.
The first few months are usually accompanied by thoughts and concerns about whether you made the right choice, whether you fit within the team, and ultimately whether you will be able to meet the demands of the new role as they gradually become clearer day by day.
At KPMG, however, there was neither space nor time for those kinds of internal doubts. Why? Because from day one, the team embraced me, trusted me, and showed me in practice that they believed in me - giving me responsibilities while at the same time supporting me both professionally and personally whenever I needed it. And somehow, time passes like that… Until one day you look back and realise how much you have achieved together with your team, how much you have learned, and most importantly, how much you continue to learn.
As a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Strategy & Operations department, I am called upon every day to solve complex problems - unique challenges that often do not come with ready-made, tested, or proven solutions, but instead require combined, critical, and often creative thinking. This aspect of my work, together with the variety of industries I am exposed to, makes every day unique and is the source of many smiles throughout the day.
My role is not limited to working with external clients; it also involves continuous collaboration with and support for colleagues, both those taking their very first professional steps and those with many years of experience. This human mosaic creates endless opportunities for learning, while also giving me moments where I have the pleasure of sharing my own knowledge and experience.
Quite often, in the evening, I catch myself reflecting briefly on the day that has passed. And when I realise that, in some way, I managed to add value to the day of a client or a colleague, the thought is always the same: ‘a day truly worth it’.
