SAP has announced that it will discontinue support for SAP ERP in 2027. For business entities still using SAP ERP, this means that the changeover to the successor product, SAP S/4HANA, should take place promptly, since in addition to a new technology and a new data model, changed process flows are also used here, which can have a significant impact on existing business processes in the company.
For a digital transformation and positioning of business entities for the future, a transition to SAP S/4HANA is the basis. It is a next-generation ERP solution – especially with regard to digitalisation. Based on a completely new data model in the form of the SAP HANA in-memory database, SAP S/4HANA is able to map business processes in real time for the first time at extreme database speeds, thus making machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) deployable and fully exploiting the enormous potential of the in-memory platform.
This also poses major challenges for compliance. KPMG offers multidisciplinary expertise and a broad portfolio of services to support you on the path to digitalisation.
