14 February 2025, Hong Kong (SAR), China ("Hong Kong") – KPMG has been awarded “The Brand Development Council 20th Anniversary Special Merit Award” at the 2024 Top Brand Awards Presentation Ceremony-cum-BDC 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner. The award not only acknowledges KPMG’s efforts in providing professional services but also highlights our commitment to supporting Hong Kong’s growth as a leading commercial and international financial centre, building trust with clients and the public since our establishment in the city in 1945.  

The award ceremony, co-hosted by the Hong Kong Brand Development Council and the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 11 February. At the event, Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul Chan, delivered a keynote address, sharing valuable insights on the core principles of brand building. He emphasised the importance of consumer-centricity, quality and innovation, and data-driven strategies. Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr. Algernon Yau, presented the award to Ivy Cheung, Senior Partner in Hong Kong SAR and Vice Chairman of KPMG China.

The “BDC 20th Anniversary Special Merit Award” honours individuals or organisations that have actively promoted the development of Hong Kong brands and supported the Council’s work. The selection committee evaluates nominees based on their contributions to developing Hong Kong brands, the Council’s operations, and the economic and social development of Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
