Erik is the Head of Insurance for KPMG China and leads the Insurance Accounting Change initiatives for KPMG in Hong Kong. He is also a member of KPMG’s Global IFRS 17 Executive Team.
Prior to moving to Asia in 2014, Erik spent 2 years in KPMG’s insurance team in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Before that he worked in the Dutch firm. He has worked with KPMG for over 30 years focused on the full spectrum of financial services including insurance, investment management and banking. An audit partner by background, Erik expanded his areas of expertise through his work in Brazil and Hong Kong and now is an Advisory partner with a focus on Accounting and Financial Management.
