Frequently asked questions
We work with organisations that are transforming operations, growing rapidly or seeking cost efficiencies, especially in middle and back-office functions such as finance, IT, HR, procurement and operations.
We begin by understanding each client’s context, goals and strategy, so the transition is designed to deliver what matters most. Our structured approach is built on years of experience but always tailored to the client’s circumstances. It typically covers defining a fit-for-purpose model, designing a robust transition plan and embedding governance and change management. Most importantly, we work with stakeholders to make the transition a collaborative process.
Yes. We help clients with provider selection, RFPs, evaluations and contract negotiations. The choice of provider is always yours – our role is to guide the process and give you the clarity and confidence to make the best decision.
Technology is integral. We identify and integrate digital solutions that support outsourced and shared services operations, enabling automation, performance tracking and scalable service delivery. Where helpful, we can draw on alliance partners, but our role is always independent. Our experience across a wide range of providers means we can support transitions in any technology environment.
We support clients in setting up, governing and delivering outsourced services through transition and into the post-stabilisation period, usually two to three months, depending on the service. We also offer optimisation support such as renegotiation, benchmarking, maturity assessments, supplier reviews and performance management. These are typically short-term engagements. We don’t provide long-term operational management of outsourced services, but KPMG does offer managed services if that’s what you need.
