24 April 2026, Port Louis, Mauritius – KPMG is proud to announce the appointment of Désiré Lan as Country Managing Partner (CMP) for Mauritius, effective 1 June 2026. Désiré succeeds John Chung, who will step down after completing two successful terms in the role and will now focus on his client service delivery role.
Désiré is a Partner with over 25 years of experience in audit and advisory across the UK and Mauritius. He also brings strong leadership experience in delivering strategic and operational transformation programmes.
A graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, he began his career with KPMG in London, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Since rejoining KPMG Mauritius in 2015, having previously worked with the firm from 2002 to 2004, Désiré has led major audit engagements and played a key role in delivering complex, multi-country assignments across the KPMG One Africa network.
John Chung said: “Désiré brings strong leadership and deep experience, and I am confident he will successfully lead the firm into its next phase.”
