The National Assembly approved the Finance Bill, 2024 (read TaxNewsFlash) on June 28, 2024, with certain amendments, and the President assented to the legislation on June 29, 2024.

The provisions of the Finance Act, 2024 are generally effective July 1, 2024, and include change related to income tax, sales tax, federal excise duty (FED), and customs.
