USTR further extends product exclusions, China Section 301 investigation (COVID-19)
Further extension of the reinstated and COVID-related exclusions in the China Section 301 investigation until May 31, 2024
Further extension of the reinstated and COVID-related exclusions
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) today announced the further extension of the reinstated and COVID-related exclusions in the China Section 301 investigation until May 31, 2024.
The USTR will open a public comment period on these exclusions on January 22, 2024. The extension allows for an orderly phase-out of the exclusions, except in cases when current data suggests that more time could enable shifts in sourcing to the United States or other countries. The extension also aligns with the ongoing four-year review of these exclusions. Read the notice [PDF 179 KB]
These exclusions were originally set to end on December 31, 2023. Read TradeNewsFlash
