The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) today imposed a fourth round of sanctions on Hamas targeting officials who represent the group’s interests abroad and manage its finances. OFAC coordinated with the United Kingdom to concurrently designate several key Hamas officials.
According to today’s Treasury release, individuals targeted operate as key officials of Hamas and have also provided financial support to the terrorist group. These individuals are being designated pursuant to Executive Order 13224, as amended, which targets terrorist groups and their supporters.
