The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) established a social media campaign encouraging unregistered businesses—especially small and midsize enterprises (SMEs)—to monitor the value added tax (VAT) registration rules and apply for a VAT registration when an obligation is triggered. The campaign is part of NBR’s ongoing efforts in spreading awareness and improving the level of VAT compliance in Bahrain.
