The KPMG member firm in Poland prepared reports about the following recent tax-related developments.

  • A deputies’ bill amending the act on value added tax (VAT) was submitted before the Lower House of the Polish Parliament with the goal of extending the zero percent VAT rate on foods until June 2024. New provisions are expected to become effective 1 January 2024.
  • The regulation of the Minister of Finance on the waiver of tax on certain financial institutions (i.e., domestic banks functioning as a bridge institution) is now effective.
