Seven legislative decrees implementing Law no. 111 of 2023

The government has issued the following seven legislative decrees implementing Law no. 111 of 2023, which directed the government to reform the tax system (read TaxNewsFlash):

  • International taxation (including implementation of Pillar Two global minimum tax (read a KPMG EU Tax Centre report) as well as changes to tax residency rules and tax regime for foreign subsidiaries)
  • Cooperative compliance regime
  • Taxpayer’s statute
  • Income taxes (i.e., reporting obligations for payment service providers) (read TaxNewsFlash))
  • Rationalization and simplification of tax compliance rules
  • Tax assessment procedure

The legislative decrees will be reviewed by the Chamber of Deputy commissions prior to final approval and are therefore subject to change.
