Consultation on draft law companion ruling on CCIV regime

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) released for consultation a draft law companion ruling (LCR 2023/D1) on the corporate collective investment vehicle (CCIV) regime.

The consultation is open until 15 December 2023. The draft guidance:

  • Outlines the operation of the CCIV regime
  • Explains the deeming principle and its effect on the tax treatment of a CCIV, a CCIV sub-fund trust and its investors
  • Provides views on specific tax interpretative issues
