Extension of deadline for VAT returns
The tax authority announced that the deadline for submitting value added tax (VAT) returns for the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 August 2023, has been extended to 16 October 2023.
The extension was deemed necessary as the tax authority's computer systems will be temporarily offline between 6 - 8 October 2023 for the purpose of upgrading the government hub network. The network will be back in operation on 9 October 2023.
