Mexico: Reduction in payroll tax for investments in electromobility sector (Nuevo Leon)

Electromobility sector (Nuevo Leon)
The Secretary of Finance and General Treasury of the State of Nuevo León on 6 September 2023 published an agreement establishing the reduction in the payment of payroll tax (ISN) to taxpayers who invest in the state of Nuevo León in productive activities within the electromobility sector (i.e., use of vehicles that use electricity as the main source of energy):
- 95% for shipowners
- 70% for direct suppliers of software, hardware or infrastructure and technological services
- 50% for direct suppliers of auto parts and non-technological services
- 30% for indirect providers
The agreement is effective on 6 September 2023 and expires on 31 December 2023.
