The Colombian government submitted for debate before the Congress a proposal containing the new labor reform, which includes some of the provisions presented in the first proposal in modified form and also introduces new provisions.
The proposed provisions relate to:
- Reinforced labor stability
- Employment contracting
- Apprenticeship contract
- Telecommuting modalities
- Automation processes and decarbonisation
- Severance for employment contract’s termination without fair cause
- Contractors and subcontractors
- Digital platforms
- Additional obligations for the employer
- Paternity leave
- Maternity and paternity leave for same-sex couples
- Transnational teleworking
- Remuneration and working hours
- Collective labor law
- Discrimination
- Statute of limitations
