The EU’s new regulation establishing a carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) entered into force on 17 May 2023.

The European Commission (EC) on 17 August 2023 adopted the rules governing the implementation of the CBAM during its transitional phase, which starts on 1 October 2023 and runs until the end of 2025. Read TaxNewsFlash
