Representatives of the European Union (EU) and New Zealand on July 9, 2023, signed a free trade agreement.

According to the European Commission (EC) release, the free trade agreement will provide new opportunities for businesses and stimulate EU exports.

Text of the agreement will now be sent to the European Parliament for its consent. Following the completion of the ratification process in both the EU and New Zealand, the deal can enter into force.
