The 2023-2024 Budget, delivered on 2 June 2023, includes corporate, individual (personal), and value added tax (VAT) and other indirect tax proposals.
In particular, the budget includes proposals relating to:
- A refund of 5% under the home ownership scheme and an extension of the home loan payment scheme to 30 June 2024
- An extension of the refund of 10% (up to a maximum of MUR200,000) of the value at importation of electric motor car or electric motor vehicle for transport of goods to 30 June 2024
- Taxes on the transfer of shares in a company holding immovable property
