The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) posted on its website a notice [PDF 241 KB] concerning the Section 301 investigation of China’s acts, policies, and practices related to technology transfer, intellectual property, and innovation.
According to a USTR release, 77 of 81 COVID-related exclusions in the China Section 301 investigation have been extended through September 30, 2023, to allow the USTR to continue to consider stakeholder and public feedback. The exclusions were previously scheduled to expire on May 15, 2023. Read TradeNewsFlash
The USTR is extending all 81 COVID-related exclusions, through May 31, 2023, to allow for a transition period.
The COVID exclusions, which cover medical-care products, were initially granted in December 2020.
