The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce today released for publication in the Federal Register orders to renew the temporary denial of export privileges of two Russian airlines.

The orders are effective immediately and will remain in effect for 180 days.

Background

BIS in April 2022 issued an order temporarily denying export privileges of the Russian airlines on the ground that issuance of the order was necessary in the public interest to prevent an imminent violation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Read TradeNewsFlash
