Summary
- An order was signed in April 2022 denying export privileges of the Russian airline for a period of 180 days.
- The temporary denial order was subsequently renewed in October 2022. Read TradeNewsFlash
- BIS—through the Office of Export Enforcement—in March 2023 submitted a written request for renewal of the temporary denial order that was issued in October 2022. No opposition to the renewal of the temporary denial order was received.
- Evidence presented by BIS demonstrated that the Russian airline acted in violation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the temporary denial order; that such violations have been significant and deliberate; and that there is a likelihood of imminent violations.
