Blueprint for India as a global market
India’s new foreign trade policy—announced 31 March 2023 and effective 1 April 2023—sets out the blueprint for India as a global market.
The foreign trade policy introduces plans such as the remission of duties or taxes on export products and rebate of state and central taxes and levies.
The foreign trade policy sets a target for achieving growth in the export of goods and services to U.S. $2 trillion by 2030, and the policy includes no end date.
