Representatives of the governments of Qatar and Egypt on 27 February 2023 signed an income tax treaty that aims to eliminate double taxation, prevent tax evasion, and promote investments and trade exchange between the two countries. The agreement is yet to be ratified and will become effective only after its ratification by both the states. The official version of the treaty has also not yet been released.
