Recent direct and indirect tax-related changes in the Azerbaijani legislation that could affect businesses include:
- Additional measures related to the development of the investment promotion mechanism were adopted.
- The model regulation on clusters of micro, small and medium-sized business entities was approved.
- Administrative liability was established for engaging in illegal money transfer activities from Azerbaijan to a foreign country and from a foreign country to Azerbaijan
- A decision defining the limit of withholding from the debtor's salary in the absence of an acceptance was adopted.
- Manufacturers and importers of tobacco products were made exempt from paying the state duty for issuing compulsory marking to excise goods.
