U.S. order renewing temporary denial of export privileges of Iranian airline, among others
The order will remain in effect for 180 days.
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce today released for publication in the Federal Register an order renewing the temporary denial of export privileges of an Iranian airline and other parties.
The order [PDF 298 KB] is effective immediately and will remain in effect for 180 days. (Note that the notice was filed November 10, 2022, and is scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on November 14, 2022).
According to the order, evidence presented by BIS demonstrated that:
- The denied persons acted in violation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and temporary denial order.
- The violations were significant, deliberate, and covert.
- There is a likelihood of imminent violations.
