U.S. order renewing temporary denial of export privileges of Russian airline

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce today released for publication in the Federal Register an order renewing the temporary denial of export privileges of a Russian airline.

BIS in May 2022 issued an order temporarily denying export privileges of the Russian airline for 180 days. Read TradeNewsFlash. After the issuance of the temporary denial order, the Russian airline continued to fly aircraft into Russia in violation of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Furthermore, the airline has continued to operate aircraft subject to the EAR, which were flown into Russia on or after March 2, 2022, on flights within Russia.

The order renewing temporary denial of export privileges [PDF 263 KB] is effective immediately and will remain in effect for 180 days. (Note that the notice was filed dated November 18, 2022, and scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on November 21, 2022).
