The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) today released for publication in the Federal Register a final rule amending the Libyan sanctions regulations and reissuing them in their entirety.
The final rule [PDF 349 KB] (49 pages):
- Implements two Libya-related executive orders (February 2011 and April 2016)
- Replaces the regulations that were published in abbreviated form in July 2011
- Includes additional interpretive guidance and definitions, general licenses, and other regulatory provisions that provide further guidance
