Brett has more than 25 years of international tax experience. In addition to leading the KPMG LLP’s cross-functional Value Chain Management practice, he is also partner in charge of the firm's Tax Transparency Services. Formerly, he headed the firm's West region International Tax practice.
Brett’s practice is heavily focused on the technology, consumer devices, and global retailing industries. He has extensive experience with digital economy businesses, including cloud computing, e-commerce, software, and social networking business models. Several of his clients are leaders in business innovations in cloud computing, web-based services, and subscription-based business models. Brett has worked with these clients and tax authorities around the world to help address this evolving global tax environment and how it affects their businesses. He assists clients in addressing complex tax issues related to hosted software, digital delivery of software and digital media, cloud-based services, content-driven subscription services, and convergence of technology, media, and communications.
