Ashok Hariharan

As Global Head of Tax for the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region, Ashok brings over 30 years of international tax experience to KPMG's people and clients. He advises multi-national, regional and local clients on tax and business regulations and assists in structuring their inbound investments. Known for his tax dispute resolution skills, Ashok has helped companies successfully deal with tax audits performed by tax authorities. His clients are predominantly in the oil and gas, power, infrastructure and banking and finance sectors. Ashok also works closely with the Secretariat General for Tax in Oman and has led assignments for them to reform their tax laws. He helped KPMG set up an international tax practice in Dubai in 2003, is a member of the KPMG Global Tax Energy & Natural Resources network, and is a frequent media commentator and seminar presenter. Ashok has been rated as a leading tax advisor in Oman by Expert Guides, a Euromoney publication.
