Marius Pedersen sells its Czech and Slovak operations to Paprec

Danish waste management group Marius Pedersen has signed an agreement to sell its Czech and Slovak operations to Paprec, a French leader in recycling, waste management and renewable energy production. The transaction strengthens Paprec’s presence in Central Europe and combines its international expertise with Marius Pedersen’s more than 30-year presence in the Czech and Slovak markets.

Upon completion of the transaction, Paprec will operate in 15 countries and employ nearly 30,000 people. The Group is also expected to generate annual revenues of close to EUR 5 billion.

Marius Pedersen

The Marius Pedersen Group is one of the leading providers of waste management services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Across both countries, it employs approximately 4,500 people, operates through a network of 49 subsidiaries and operates 29 landfill sites and 15 sorting facilities. Through its services, the Group serves more than 2,300 municipalities and provides waste management services for approximately 3.2 million inhabitants.

Paprec

Founded in 1994, Paprec is one of Europe's leading technology-driven waste management, recycling and renewable energy groups. The company operates in 15 countries and employs approximately 26,000 people. Through its solutions, Paprec supports municipalities, cities and businesses in their transition towards a circular economy and more efficient use of resources.
