Enabling youths to drive meaningful change

Two tracks, one purpose – enabling youth-driven impact

Gen2050 offers two tracks – the first is a structured programme with four key modules led by industry experts who will share insights to help participants develop and refine their ideas, and receive funding and mentorship to pilot them.

The second track features a curated series of youth engagements that offer youths the opportunity to directly engage with policymakers, industry leaders, and peers to discuss critical societal issues. Insights from these engagements will support the development of the SG Youth Plan, a five-year action plan by the National Youth Council that holds the hopes and aspirations of young Singaporeans.

Programme launch - Event highlights

5 June 2025 marked the official launch of Gen2050 Youth Action Plan, officiated by Senior Parliamentary Secretary Goh Hanyan (Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Sustainability and Environment), alongside David Chua, Chief Executive of the National Youth Council Singapore, Lee Sze Yeng, Managing Partner of KPMG in Singapore, and Ross Gan, President of the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS).

The event brought together close to 200 passionate youths who participated in the inaugural Gen2050 youth dialogue on the impact of AI on future jobs.

A key highlight at the event was the Gen2050 Youth Activation Zone - a dynamic space featuring interconnected hubs of activity. From the Be in Front platform to inspiring showcases by institutes of higher learning, the zone embodied the spirit of youth-led innovation and advocacy. It empowered young individuals to voice their convictions, take action and drive meaningful social change.
