The COVID-19 pandemic has cast a spotlight on the importance of energy and water, with many communities lacking access to clean water and sanitation — both key tools in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Severe climate events, accelerated by global warming, could make the situation worse across cities and countries.

At this year’s edition of the Singapore International Water Week, more than 5,000 attendees from 91 countries and regions gathered to engage in meaningful discussions and learning sessions on water security and sustainability topics ranging from climate resilience and resource recovery to water treatment technologies.
