Lau Kam Yuen

Lau Kam Yuen is the COO/CFO and Head of Central Services at KPMG in Singapore.

With over 30 years of experience, Kam Yuen has provided audit and advisory services to infrastructure, utilities, insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as public-listed companies, large multinational subsidiaries, and private companies.

In addition to audit, his expertise spans a broad range of services, including ESG strategy and reporting, internal audit outsourcing, whistle-blower investigations, and large-scale reporting and assurance projects, accounting advisory, due diligence review, financial modelling review, review of prospective financial information, share valuation assignments and has acted as a reporting accountant for IPOs and corporate exercises. Previously, Kam Yuen had a stint in the corporate sector as Deputy Head of Corporate Audit of an insurance group in the Asia Pacific region.

At KPMG in Singapore, his previous leadership roles include Head of Risk Consulting, Head of Insurance Sector, Head of Business and Corporate Outsourcing services, and the lead partner for several strategic clients. He kickstarted the ESG consulting business in its early years and led the cybersecurity advisory business. He also led the KPMG Business School and provided leadership oversight of the Board Governance Institute (BGI) and Audit Committee Institute (ACI) for KPMG in Singapore.

He volunteers his time serving as a Board chairman/member in charitable organisations across different sectors including healthcare, education and the arts.
