Gordon is the partner leading Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), Tax and International Tax at KPMG in Singapore. He has worked in tax for more than 30 years across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Japan, the US and Singapore.
Originally from KPMG in the UK, Gordon worked in audit and tax in Glasgow, Aberdeen and London and moved to Singapore in 1997 to manage the regional merger of a two large pharmaceutical groups. Gordon also spent time with KPMG International in the Asia Pacific, including stints in Washington National Tax in the US before joining KPMG in Singapore in 2003.
Gordon has extensive experience in advising multinational clients from Europe, the US, and Asia Pacific covering a wide spectrum of industries on international tax and restructuring advisory work. He has been significantly involved ENR work throughout the region, including advising oil & gas, mining and alternative energy clients across the full upstream and downstream supply chain. Gordon has also advised a significant number of family owned businesses with substantive assets in the ENR space on fund raising, structuring and supply chain matters.
Gordon is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and holds a Bachelor of Law and Accounting from the University of Glasgow and an MBA from the University of Georgetown, Washington DC. He is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals.
