Alan is a Partner and Co-Head of Financial Services, Tax with KPMG in Singapore and has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of international corporate taxation, local corporate taxation and tax planning. He has spear-headed the firm’s banking and insurance taxation initiatives, making representations to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) based on industry feedback.

Alan has vast experience in the areas of tax compliance, planning and tax consultancy work including specialisation in banking products, structured finance, and insurance taxation. This experience covers a wide range of industries including banking, insurance, leasing, property developers, fund managers, IT and manufacturing. In the private banking space, Alan has helped numerous High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) on tax issues surrounding trust planning, succession and fund management planning. On the insurance front, in 2020 Alan acted as the global tax partner to coordinate and structure the merger between two renowned insurance market players with significant market presence in Singapore.

Alan regularly speaks at public seminars and workshops, especially on his specialised area of Financial Services banking and insurance taxation.
