Amer Bazerbachi is a Partner in Advisory at KPMG in Qatar, where he leads the firm’s Cybersecurity services. He brings over 20 years of cybersecurity experience across Europe and the Middle East and has played a key role in establishing and scaling KPMG’s Cybersecurity practice in Qatar.
Amer has been closely involved in advancing national cyber maturity, working with key regulators and national stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience and state-level readiness. His work spans policy, governance, operational resilience, and regulatory alignment, supporting both national objectives and sector-wide preparedness.
He has led and delivered national cybersecurity strategies, national incident and crisis management frameworks, national cyber drills, and large-scale cross-sector simulation exercises. Amer regularly advises boards and executive leadership on cyber risk, resilience, and regulatory readiness, helping organizations strengthen detection and monitoring capabilities, improve incident preparedness and response, and align governance and controls with a risk-based, regulatory-ready operating model.
Amer’s sector experience includes government and public sector, financial services, telecommunications, aviation, media, and critical infrastructure. In parallel, he has supported portfolio growth, strengthened market presence, and built a highly skilled, multinational cybersecurity team in Qatar.
