Atif, Partner of KPMG and a part of audit leadership in country, leading team of enthusiastic professional.
Atif is also part Accounting and Accounting Forums of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan providing insights and technical matters affecting the overall accounting profession of the country. He is also part of the MESAC DPP. This role enables him to remain updated latest updates and also act in consulting role in technical matters affecting involving the practice.
Being Head of DPP, Pakistan, he is involved in supporting teams in performing quality engagements by responding to/ reviewing auditing and financial reporting consultations, and financial statements reviews, driving consistent application of accounting and auditing standards across the Firm, providing technical support that mitigates risks related to technical issues facing firm, developing and maintaining leading edge technical knowledge, Identifying the training areas for staff in consultation with audit partner, and formulating DPP policies/ protocols, and control processes.
Atif has over 24 years’ experience with the firm, working in various capacities. He is qualified as a chartered accountant in Pakistan and Certified Internal Auditor from Institute of Internal Auditors- US.
Over the last four years, he has spearheaded the firm’s DPP and implementation of KPMG’s Clara Work Flow in the firm in his role as country Implementation Partner- KCW.
He has been the engagement partner on the various multinational and country’s leading organizations operating Telecom, consumer markets, Hospitality, Airlines and construction etc..
Outside of work Atif is kept busy with his young family, enjoys reading, watching movies and supports Pakistan in all things sporting.
